The Ice Cream Incident
Summers are warm here, and what better way to cool down than with a nice cone of ice cream? Sir B, of course, agrees—too much, perhaps. On one particularly hot day, I treated myself to a towering scoop of chocolate chip ice cream. As I enjoyed the creamy delight, I felt the weight of Sir B’s stare. His eyes followed every movement of the cone, hypnotic and unblinking.
Deciding to be a generous pet owner, I offered him a small taste. This, unfortunately, was interpreted as an invitation for an all-out assault. With a swift ninja-like maneuver, Sir B managed to snatch the entire cone from my hand, leaving me staring in disbelief at my suddenly empty fingers. The speed and finesse of his heist were impressive, but the loss of my ice cream was a tragedy sung in sticky, sweet notes.
